Information: Partnership With Parents

Once your child commences pre-school they are assigned a key person this means that each member of staff has a group children for whom she is responsible. Your childs key person is the person who works with you to make sure that what the preschool provides is right for your Childs particular needs and interests.

When your child starts at the pre-school, she will help him/her to settle and throughout your his/her time at pre-school she will help your child to benefit from the pre-schools activites.

The key person will create a learning journey. This will contain pictures, photographs, observations and lots more. We encourage each child to have a look at their learning journey and also make their own contributions. We work closely with the parents to develop planning for their children interests and individual development. It is great way where parents can have in put into their childs journey through pre-school. This is available for parents to take it home and put pictures or children achievements or special celebration in their families..

Other things where parents can get involved is by writing down details of any celebrations, special events, moments or interests their life on our learning wall  and  then these can be talks about and developed further from home to pre-school.

We also hold regular parents’ afternoons, the Christmas play, sports day, end of year outing with party and graduation, Easter Parade, Diwali Party, Eid Party and any other celebrations.

Parents are also encouraged to bring their skills to pre-school which could support our EYFS and also further childrens learning and extend their knowledge. Please tell us how else we can make your childs journey easier through our pre-school.
